There is a negative connoation with software automation and (to a greater extent) quality assurance in general. Part of the mission of this group is to enable QA Engineers with the latest tools and processes available. The ultimate goal is that test code should be first class citizens in the software development world.

VANQ is a community association in Metro Vancouver that focuses on encouraging the exchange of software quality assurance and testing knowledge and fostering networking among meeting participants.

yvrTesting is a Vancouver-based user group focused on sharing experiences and ideas around software quality assurance and testing. Each month, a speaker or panel from the Vancouver high-tech community will provide a presentation or workshop to the members of this group.
